Who am I? It’s the question that keeps me up most nights but I suppose you’re curious so I’ll give you an answer.
I’m a designer at a small architecture firm in downtown Chicago who loves seeing people smile when they discover that architecture can provide something they never dreamed of.
I recently graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with my Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree . I can’t yet legally call myself an architect. I still have about 4,000 hours of on-the-job training to complete and 6 exams to pass until I become licensed but I’ve already spent 5 and a half years in school to earn two architecture degrees and 18 months (up to the point of me writing this) working in an architecture firm specializing in high-performance school design. When the opportunity arises, I love to design and build furniture. When I need to escape the design-crazed focus of my life, I’m usually drinking craft beers, riding my road bike, or having profound conversations with my cat.
If you’d like to see my portfolio, you can view it below. I think it’s pretty cool.
